Bloat is a large wobbly specimen that appears in most of the Killing Floor games. It is rather slow but is more durable than more common zeds.
It has the special ability to vomit on you and other humans which covers your screen with vomit and hinders your vision for up to ten seconds. The bile from the Bloat will slowly lower the player's health and armor for a few moments.
If it is headshot, it will lose the ability to vomit for the few seconds it remains alive. Conversely, if it is shot in the belly it can explode and cover nearby players in bile.
In Killing Floor 2 it does not take a noticeable amount of extra damage to the head (unlike most zeds which take 10% more damage to the head) and takes 6 seconds to bleed out instead of the more common 5.
Additionally, if it explodes above Normal Difficulty it can leave behind puddles of bile that explode into poisonous clouds when stepped on or shot.
In Killing Floor 2 is also carries two cleavers instead of one, and has gained the ability to block (though it is less likely to block in Solo play or on lower difficulties). When blocking, it reduces all damage taken by 10%. Any attacks to the cleavers reduce damage by 80%. flashbangs will make the bloat hazy for 10 seconds
Killing Floor 2 also introduced a Boss version of the Bloat, called the Abomination.
